Happy Thanksgiving

Oops! I'm late again. Oh well, it's been a busy time. I am up to 5 teeth now, 3 on the bottom and 2 on top. I am 8 months old and weigh 20 pounds!!

At the beginning of Thanksgiving week, daddy and I went to granny's and grandpa's house in Dalton. We played all day. I also got to see Uncle Bill and Aunt Paula while I was there. Then, on Thanksgiving Day, we went to the Cousins' house for a big dinner. I ate my dinner early and mommy thought she could get away with giving my some cheerios while everyone else was eating. Boy was she wrong! I wanted mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce just like everyone else had.

The day after Thanksgiving, we got in the car and drove to Dalton to get Uncle Bill and Aunt Paula. We picked them up and then drove 3 more hours to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. When we got there, we stayed in a cool hotel. We went to the Dixie Stampede for dinner; they do dinner and a show. I don't remember much because I fell asleep, but they said it was a great show with live animals in the nativity.

Saturday morning, we got up and went to Dollywood. We got to see lots of people making stuff like glass and metal. Mommy and Daddy rode some rides. We shopped some and saw a show, well I fell asleep during the show again :) It was a great weekend and a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope all of you had a good one too. ~ Sean

Happy Halloween!!

Ok, so I'm a few days behind here... but you know what I mean:)

Guess what?!?! I got two new teeth this week!! Mommy was soooo excited, but she keeps trying to stick her fingers in my mouth. I bite her and she goes away, for a little while anyway. HEHE!! I did have a good halloweek though too. Last weekend Mommy put this silly monkey costume on me and we went to the church to see everyone at trunk or treat. I got to eat a sucker, I got to watch everyone play silly games and I even got to go on a hay ride... my very first one. It was fun, but it got kinds cold outside and Mommy kept yelling like she was going to fall off of the tractor. Oh yeah! I also got to ride a horse for the first time. Aunt Robbi climbed up on the horse and held on to me while we rode around in a circle. It was pretty cool too :)

I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did.

Teeth are a pain in the mouth!!

I'm working on my 3rd tooth. This one has been the worst so far. It hurts all the time and it very swollen. My first two (on the bottom) came in quite suddenly and didn't bother me all that much. This one is different. I've been working on it for a few weeks now, hopefully only another day or two and it will be here :) YEAH!!

I'm 6 months old!!

I'm six months old now and I went to the doctor last Friday. First they checked me all over and said that I am 17 pounds and 15 ounces and 28 1/2 inches long!! I've grown a lot in the last months or so. Then the horrible lady gave me two shots in the leg. I screamed at her until she quit. I can't believe Mommy helped her by holding me still on the table while she stabbed me. It's just not right!!!!!

Then I got sick this week. I was crying and fussing and trying to tell everyone that I didn't feel well, but they said I didn't have a fever so it must not be that big of a deal. Finally, I had a rash on Thursday, so Mommy called the doctor. I had to go back to that horrible place. They checked me all over again and said that I have "roseola" (sp?) and that there is nothing they can do. Well, don't they just suck! I guess I'm starting to feel better though. They said the rash will go away in a few days and I'll be just fine.

I'm off to Texas!! Tomorrow after shool, mommy, grandma and grandad are taking me to Texas to see grandma's brother and his family. His daughter (my cousin) died last week and we're going to the memorial service (whatever that is, I guess I'll find out) on Friday. So, we're driving all the way from Dallas, Georgia to Austin, Texas and we'll spend the weekend there and then come home again. Sounds like fun!!

Labor Day Weekend

Saturday mommy and I went to the lake with Judy, Dan, Brandon, Aaron, and Jeremy. We had a good time. I was a good boy all day. I played in the lake, rode on the boat, and even took a nap in the shade. On the ride back to the dock, I laughed and jumped and laughed some more. It was a lot of fun. By the time I got home, I was asleep... it was a long exhausting day and I didn't nap much. So, Sunday morning, when I woke up mommy put me in the shower with daddy. That was kinda silly, but I guess I needed it after being at the lake all day.

Monday we had a cook out. Tynleigh was here for a little while, but she left after nap time. Grandma and Grandad came for a little while too, but then they took Tynleigh home and went out for dinner. Jeremy was here most of the afternoon and so were Debbie, Steve and Taylor. Steve, Sarah and Addison came late, but they stayed late too. Judy, Dan, Brandon and Aaron got here just in time for dinner and they didn't stay long either. It was a good day and a great weekend. Hope we do it all again soon.

A day at Granny's

Well, Mommy's gone back to work again and I'm spending most of my days at Mrs. Sandra's house with Tynleigh, Bryce and Kristen. But, today was special... Daddy is working at night this week, so during the day, he took me to Granny's house. I got to play with Granny, Grandpa, Great-Granny and even Uncle Bill!! It was a great day. Now, it's late and I've gone to bed. Tomorrow will be back to normal...

Hey! Did I mention that I learned to roll over onto my back last week! Now, I'm an everyday rolly polly. I can roll and roll and roll, until someone stops me or I run into something.

Back From the Beach!!

WOW! It's been a while. Well, we had a great week at the beach. I loved the ocean and the pool, but didn't much care for laying on the sand, even inside my little tent it was really hot! We didn't do a whole lot... went to the beach every day, went out to dinner every day, drove to Panama and played video games and went shopping one day... oh yeah! Daddy and Uncle Bill took me to the biggest Bass Pro Shops ever!! Mommy and Aunt Paula stayed at the condo and layed on the beach all day, that was the best, just us boys :)

I'm off to the beach!!

Early in the morning we are leaving to go to the beach. We'll be in the Florida panhandle for the next week! I'm riding with mommy, daddy, uncle bill and aunt paula. Then when we get there, we'll meet cousin tynleigh, aunt robbi, uncle clayton and their friends anna and bryce. On tuesday, jamie, mat, morgan and landon will be joining us too. I'm so excited that I had a hard time going to sleep tonight. I hope it will be lots of fun, it will be my first time at the beach. I'll post lots of pictures and more information when we get back.

Happy 4th of July!!

This week I had my first 4th of July celebration... well, sort of. Tuesday I went to Dalton to see my Granny and Grandpa and Great-Granny. I spent the whole day there. I even spent the night while Mommy went with Uncle Bill and Aunt Paula that their friend Matt to Chattanooga to see the symphony and the fire works show. It was great. After Mommy got back, I woke up and crawled in bed with her :) I slept there the rest of the night.

Then on Wednesday, we went to my Grandma and Granddad's house. We played and slept and then Uncle Bill and Aunt Jan came over for dinner. Granddad made some ribs that they all said were really good... maybe I'll get to try some next year :)

June 13-16, 2007

Well, I got to stay at my Granny and Papaw's for 2 whole days!! Then, my Grandma picked me up and took me to her house where I stayed with her and Grandpa for two more days. Mommy and Daddy went to camp with a bunch of kids from church and they couldn't take me with them. So I had a great time with all of my grandparents. They spoiled me and played with me all the time... not like Mommy who has to put me down and clean and cook sometimes :) They loved me sooo much and kissed me all over. I had ALL of their attention the whole time that I was with them; it was great!

My Baby Dedication

It was perfect timing. Since all the family was in town for the wedding, Mommy asked Pastor Frank if he would dedicate me the same weekend that Jennifer got married. So he did. Some of my cousins were there: Marsha, Clarice & George, Cecilia & Rick and Tynleigh (she came with Aunt Robbi and Uncle Clayton too. Then Grandma and Grandpa were there with Aunt Jan and Uncle Bill (they are Mommy's God parents). Also, there were lots of friends: Jamie, Mat, Morgan & Landon, Jeremy & Megan, Chris & Maddie, Steve & Sarah, and Melissa & Thorsten.

After the dedication was over, the family went home and our friends went to brunch at Applebee's. It was a big celebration because Mommy and Daddy promised to raise me in church and in a Christian home; they'll do everything they can to ensure that I become a Christian one day :)

Jennifer's Wedding

I got to go see LOTS of family that I have never met before. It was great! They were all here for my cousin Jennifer's wedding. She married Matt. Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa all went to this hotel and stayed there with other family from out of town. I got lots of attention and passed all around during dinner. Then we went to the hotel for a party. I got to stay for a little while and then I went to the room and went to sleep, I was tired.

Then the next day was the wedding. I got to go to breakfast and lunch with everybody again. Then while they all went to the wedding, Mommy's friend, Katy, came to stay with me. We hung out, took a nap, and watched TV until they all came back. We spent the night there again.

Yesterday I turned two months old! Can you believe it, two months all ready?? Then, today, I went to the pediatrician. Daddy took me while mommy was at work. The doctor was so mean to me, she stabbed me in the leg three times!! I almost couldn't believe it. The really bad part was that they made daddy hold me down while she did it. The good news is that I'm growing like a big boy. I weighed in at 11 pounds and 9 ounces and I am 23 inches long. With these measurements, I'm in the 50th percentile for babies my age (that's average). After my horrible doctor's visit, I spent the day chillin' with daddy. Then I went to bed early. I wish everyone a wonderful week and can't wait until summer break... only 5 more working days!!!

Today I went to my first Relay for Life. It was fun. I got to see lots of new people and some I'd seen many times before. Mommy and I walked around the track for a while looking at luminaries and looking for friends to talk to (well, actually mommy was walking and I was riding in the stroller and then in her arms). I got kinda cold and mommy's friend wrapped me up in her jacket until I fell asleep. I was a nice evening and I'm glad to be home again warm in my bed :)

Firsts

For the first time in my life, I actually enjoyed my bath last night. Mommy put me in and I started to cry, like I always do, and then I decided to relax. It was a nice feeling and the water was warm. Then today, for the first time, I spent 20 minutes relaxing in my new swing without crying about it. I let mommy cook dinner while I was swinging along. My cousin Tynleigh kept coming by to check on me. It was great :)

He's growing up so fast :)

We were at the doctor yesterday and the doc says he's doing well. 9 lb. 12 oz. and 21 3/4 inches. Look at those chubby cheeks :) Can you tell he's eating and sleeping well?

1 Month Doctor's Visit

I went to the doctor yesterday and man was it aweful. First of all, they made us wait for half an hour before we could even go in. Then, when I got in the room, they made mommy take my clothes off and change my diaper. After I had a fresh diaper on, they took me in the hall and mommy took the diaper off again and put me on this metal thing. They said I weigh 9 pounds and 12 ounces (that's what the metal thing told them). We went back in the room and the lady drew lines on the paper on the table at the top of my head and the botton of my feet. She said I am 21 and 3/4 inches long. She also put these drops in my eyes and I couldn't see anything (they dialeted my eyes). Next, we waited another half an hour for the mean old doctor. He touched me all over, hit my knees and feet, and then shined this bright light in my eyes. When he left mommy finally put my clothes back on and I started to get warm again. Then the mean lady came back in. She put drops in my nose, put the sucker thing up my nose and then in my throat. She almost made me throw up. Man was it a long day! I took a nap in the car and slept all afternoon while mommy went shopping.

Today was a good day!

Today, mommy and daddy took me to Dalton. Why? You ask... my daddy's family lives there. We went to Great Granny Coker's house. Granny and Grandpa live there too. Great Granny's birthday was earlier this week, so we went to visit. They pass me around a lot, Granny and Great Granny like to hold me, kiss me, feed me, just about everything but change my dirty diapers... mommy has to do that. Grandpa likes to talk to daddy and do lots of work. He's scared of me and won't hold me, he just looks at me. That's okay, maybe one day he'll take me fishing :) I love to visit with my grandparents, all they do is hold me and smile and talk to me all the time.

When we got home, daddy had to work and mommy had a class to go to, so she took me to my other grandparents house. They fed me, changed me, held me, talked to me and looked at me all night long. I stayed awake most of the time I was there and played with them. They said that I was a little fussy and a whole lot more active than my cousin used to be at my age. I hate that stinking car seat and everyone wants to leave me in it all the time!!! GET ME OUTTA HERE!!

I love my son!!

I'm so happy to have my beautiful son, Sean Michael. I can't believe he's finally here! Well, now he's almost a month old, my how time has flown by. He is so wonderful. O.K., so I'm a little biased here... but, who can blame me? You all love your children too :) I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world, even on a fussy day. Thank you God for allowing me to help raise this wonderful child. It took so long, I almost thought it was never going to happen. Now, here he is!!

I was born on March 21, 2007 at 4:11 pm. I was 21 inches long and weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounce. Mommy and daddy were so proud.
